Aventro vs Startup Due Dil

Startup Due Dil gives one investor a fast flagged report on a deck; pick Aventro when a fund needs each claim checked against the official register with the match tied to the company, contradictions caught across the deck, accounts and calls, and a decision the team records and keeps. Startup Due Dil’s own page describes ten agents checking claims against public data for $49 a report, and lists no register matching, decision record or monitoring after the decision.

What Aventro and Startup Due Dil each do
QuestionAventroStartup Due Dil
Claims checked against official registersAventro onlyAventroEach claim is checked against the official record it should appear in: company registers in Israel, the UK, the US, Norway and Finland, GLEIF, SEC EDGAR and patent offices, 35 published sources in all. A match counts only when something like a registered number ties it to the company; a name match is reported as a lead.1,2Startup Due DilClaims in uploaded documents are analysed against publicly available data, with links cited, and its legal agent checks incorporation from the materials provided. Named official registers and a match tied to a registered number are not listed.3
The decision and its reasonsAventro onlyAventroEach partner records a position before seeing anyone else’s. A person records the decision with their reasons, freezing what it was made on, and Memory keeps it and checks the condition you set for looking again.4,5Startup Due DilNot listed. The page describes a report and a chat about it.3
After the decisionAventro onlyAventroAfter the decision, the record is compared every day with what the decision was made on (the figure then, the figure now), the public registers are checked again, and serious changes send a notice.6Startup Due DilNot listed on the pages cited.3
The company answers on the same recordAventro onlyAventroGaps go to the company as requests it answers in its own workspace, on the same record. Aventro reads each answer against what was asked, and a company never accepts its own answer.7Startup Due DilNot listed. You upload the materials and the agents work from them.3
Returns on your chequeAventro onlyAventroYour ownership, diluted round by round to exit, across five scenarios from failure to a home run, computed with no model call and with every base rate cited beside the number it produced.8Startup Due DilIts traction and financials agent reviews runway, burn and unit economics. Exit and returns modelling is not listed.3
Contradictions across deck, documents and callsAventro goes furtherAventroEvery document is read as it arrives. When the deck, the accounts and a call disagree on a figure, each reading is shown side by side with a question you can send the company, and a figure said on a call is compared too.7Startup Due DilRed flags cover contradictions and claims that public data does not appear to support.3
The memo in your own templateAventro goes furtherAventroYour committee’s own memo or screening form, PDF or Word, filled from what the deal holds. Every place it could not answer is named, never guessed.9,4Startup Due DilA structured report in its own format, tailored by a fund knowledge base. Filling your committee’s own form is not listed.3
Model calls and your dataAventro goes furtherAventroEvery AI model call runs with zero data retention at the provider, evidence is encrypted with AES-256-GCM under per-deal keys, and access is per deal and per person.10,11Startup Due DilMaterials and reports are visible only to you, and a run can be deleted. Runs use temporary model sessions, and OpenAI may temporarily process data to generate the report.3
Your mandate on every dealBothAventroFund Fit reads every deal against your Fund DNA, criterion by criterion, met or missed. Exclusions are gates rather than deductions, and every score names the Fund DNA version it was judged on.12,13Startup Due DilA fund knowledge base: strategy, thesis, check size, geography, stage, sector, portfolio and IC criteria.3
PricingAventroOne annual contract for the whole team, quoted on seats and deal volume after a free demo on one live deal of yours.14,15Startup Due Dil$49 for one report, $449 a month for 10 reports, $999 a month for 25 reports.3

Also only in Aventro

The smaller things a fund uses every day. None of them is listed on Startup Due Dil’s pages cited3.

Calls turned into follow-ups

Add a call recording or transcript and it is read for who said what and when. A promise to send something becomes a request with its date, a figure said aloud is compared with the deck and the accounts, and tone is read from the words only, never voices or faces.16,17,7

The fund’s own deal inbox

Forward a deck to your fund’s address and it lands as one opportunity, screened against your Fund DNA on arrival if you choose. The same deck sent twice attaches to the same company.18

Forty decks, one ranked table

Drop up to forty decks and get them back ranked by Fund Fit, screened from the deck and the public registers before any founder knows you are looking.19

Actions drawn as cards in the chat

Ask Aventro AI to request a document, invite the company, move a stage, fill a field or record your position, and it draws a card you edit and press. Nothing happens until you do.20,21

Positions before the vote

Each partner records a position before seeing anyone else’s. The count is visible to everyone; the content is not, until you have answered.4

What-If on the score

Model a hire, a raise or a resolved flag and the affected modules recompute with your weights, labelled as a projection.22

Health and fintech checks built in

A health company is checked against the FDA’s device records, EUDAMED and the trial registries for the route it states. A fintech is asked about its licences, its partner bank and credit losses.1,7

Assumptions you can watch

Each assumption a decision rested on shows whether it still holds, with what would prove it wrong.6,21

A reason to look again

Write the condition when you reject a deal. Memory checks a figure, an event or a date against what your fund holds now, and shows a judgment to you.5

Reports shared your way

Share a report by link with a password, an expiry date and the sections you choose, or invite named people. The PDF is rendered from the same page.23

Fund economics stay with the fund

The fund’s copy carries its fund size, its cheque and the exit that returns the fund. The company’s copy, and any shared copy, is built without them.23

One Work queue

Contradictions to settle, gaps to fill and requests waiting on the company, in one queue.7

The company’s whole team on one record

More than one person from the company can work on the record and answer your requests.24

When to pick Aventro

The longer list is the diligence. The shorter one is honest.

Pick Aventro when

  • A claim has to hold up at your investment committee, so it needs the official register record and the identifier that ties it to the company, not a web page or a matching name.1,25
  • You want each partner’s position recorded before anyone sees the others’, and the decision kept with its reasons on a record your fund can return to.4,5
  • You want gaps sent to the company and answered on the same record, with each answer read against what was asked, not chased by email.7
  • You want each company watched against what you decided on after the money goes in: the figure then beside the figure now, and the registers checked again.6
  • You want the returns on your own cheque done by code, with every base rate cited beside the number, not estimated by a model.8
  • You want zero data retention on every model call, and documents encrypted under a key for their own deal.10,11
  • You want to see it on a company you already know before any quote: bring one live deal to a free demo and see which claims get flagged that your team had not reached yet.15

When Startup Due Dil is enough

  • You want one quick flagged report on one deck, for $49, with no contract. Aventro’s free demo runs on one live deal of yours before any quote.3,15

Questions

Can’t we just buy a $49 report per deal?

For a first read, yes. A report is a snapshot; diligence at a fund is a record. The company answers your requests on it, your team records positions and a decision on it, and it keeps being compared with what you decided after the money goes in. Startup Due Dil’s page does not list those. Before paying per report, bring one live deal to Aventro’s free demo: a company you already know, screened against your mandate, every claim checked at the source.

What does Aventro check that Startup Due Dil doesn’t list?

The official register each claim should appear in, matched to the company by its registered number, LEI or SEC filing. Startup Due Dil describes agents that analyse claims against publicly available data, with links cited; Aventro counts a match only when an identifier ties the record to the company, and reports a matching name as a lead.

How is Aventro priced?

One annual contract for the whole team. Seats and how many companies you run through Aventro in a year set the number, quoted after a free demo on one live deal of yours.

Does Aventro make the investment decision?

No. Aventro screens, checks and drafts. A person on your team records the decision, with their own reasons, and Aventro does not give investment advice.

Bring one live deal

Free, on one of your own deals. See it on a company you already know, before any quote.

  • A live deal screened against your own Fund DNA
  • Which claims we flagged that your team had not reached yet
  • How claims get checked against official registers and public filings
  • Your own IC memo template, filled from the deal
  • What pricing looks like for your seats and deal volume
