The workflow

Decision

The brief, the memo, the team’s positions and the recorded decision.

The Decide tab is where a fund prepares, discusses and records a decision. It has four views.

Brief

The pre-read: what you are preparing to do, what holds it up, the case both ways, and what it would be worth. Every block is a conclusion with a link to where the working lives, so a partner can open it cold before IC.

Memo

The memo follows your fund’s own template, set under Settings, Templates. The sections Aventro can fill come from what the deal already holds, with nothing invented: a fact it does not hold shows as missing. The judgment and the recommendation are written by people.

Team review

Each person records a position before seeing anyone else’s. The count is visible to everyone; the content is not, until you have answered, the memo is final, or a decision stands. An admin can excuse someone from an opportunity, with a reason on the record.

Record decision

Reject, Approve (with conditions if you need them) or Invest. To defer, reject with a condition for looking again, and Memory watches it. Recording is a two-step act: a review screen names everything that will be frozen with the decision. It needs the Decides permission.

The numbers beside it

The returns on your cheque are in Exit and returns, and the scenarios on the score in What-If simulations. Your own committee forms can be filled from the deal: see Document templates.
