AI investment committee memo tool: what it should do
A useful AI investment committee memo tool fills your fund’s own memo template from what the deal record holds, shows a missing fact as missing, and leaves the judgment and the recommendation to people. In Aventro the memo follows your template, the returns are computed rather than written by a model, and a person records the decision with their reasons.

Seven tests for a memo tool
Run each one on a deal your committee has already decided, so you know what a right memo looks like.
It uses your committee’s template
Partners read the format they trust fastest. A new layout costs the committee time every meeting.
In Aventro: Upload your IC memo or screening form once, as a PDF or Word file of up to 40 pages, and every deal can produce a completed copy in your own layout.1
It fills from the deal record
Every sentence should trace to something the deal holds: a document, a check, an answer from the company.
In Aventro: The sections Aventro can fill come from what the deal already holds, with nothing invented.2
It shows what is missing
A blank is a question for the company. An invented answer is a liability in the minutes.
In Aventro: Every fill names the places it could not answer from the deal.1
The numbers are computed
Ownership, dilution and exit multiples are arithmetic. A language model should not be estimating them.
In Aventro: The returns model is computed with no model call anywhere in it, and every base rate is cited beside the number it produced.3
People write the judgment
The recommendation is the committee’s. Each partner’s view is worth more before they have heard the others.
In Aventro: The judgment and the recommendation are written by people, and each person records a position before seeing anyone else’s.2
The documents stay yours
A memo tool reads the data room. Ask what the model provider keeps.
In Aventro: Every AI model call runs with zero data retention at the provider, and evidence is encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM, under per-deal derived keys.5
Questions
Does Aventro write the investment recommendation?
No. The sections Aventro can fill come from the deal’s record; the judgment and the recommendation are written by people, and a person records the decision.
Can it fill our existing Word memo template?
Yes. Upload it once under Settings, Templates. Word in, Word out; PDF in, PDF out. Aventro fills the labelled blanks, empty table cells, the space under section headings and form fields.
Is AI-written content labelled?
Aventro’s report labels each section for how it was made, computed or AI-assisted, and Aventro AI is labelled as AI wherever it answers.
Does Aventro make the investment decision?
No. Aventro screens, checks and drafts. A person on your team records the decision, with their own reasons, and Aventro does not give investment advice.
