What tool logs why we rejected a deal?
Aventro’s Memory keeps every decision your fund records with the reasons behind it, and when you reject a deal you write the condition for looking again, which Memory checks against what your fund holds now: a figure, an event or a date, or a judgment it shows you to decide. When a new deal resembles one you decided before, Memory shows the past case with the reasons it is relevant.

What a rejection log should keep
Six things, so the next partner who meets the company starts from what you learned.
What the decision was made on
The figures you saw then are the baseline for whatever the company says next.
In Aventro: Recording a decision freezes what it was made on, and a review screen names everything that will be frozen.1
The condition for looking again
“We rejected it because of X, and we would look again if Y.” Write the Y.
In Aventro: Memory reads the condition as a figure (“when ARR passes $1M”), an event (“after they raise a seed”), a date, or a judgment, and checks the first three against what your fund holds now.2
The past case when a similar deal arrives
The most useful memory is the one that turns up on its own.
In Aventro: When a new deal resembles one you decided before, Memory shows the past case with the reasons it is relevant, and only when at least one reason holds.2
Whether your screen predicts your calls
Your record of decisions is also a test of your criteria.
In Aventro: Memory compares the Fund Fit of the deals you invested in with the ones you rejected, and tells you how well the score separates them.2
Your history from before
Years of rejections live in spreadsheets and old emails. They belong in the same place as the new ones.
In Aventro: Import past decisions from a spreadsheet or from documents. Nothing is saved until you confirm the mapping, and imported decisions are marked as imported.2

Aventro vs DiligenceGPTQuestions
How do we defer a deal rather than reject it?
Reject it with a condition for looking again, and Memory watches the condition.
Can we bring decisions we made before Aventro?
Yes. Import them from a spreadsheet (CSV, TSV or Excel) or from documents (PDF, Word, PowerPoint, text or saved emails). You check how the columns map and which companies they are before anything is saved.
Does Aventro make the investment decision?
No. Aventro screens, checks and drafts. A person on your team records the decision, with their own reasons, and Aventro does not give investment advice.
